MEET THE TEAM

Karen has had a varied and well-travelled life, taking in the continent of Europe and South Africa.   Qualified in accounting, law and teaching she arrived  in the Charente in 2003 with Andrew and their two children where they bought their home and renovation project.   Initially working alongside Andrew building up their renovation business, Karen then focussed on setting up Solutions, a hand holding service for anglophones who required help with French administration or her language skills.  She also runs courses for small businesses to teach them how to correctly record their accouting information according to French law.

The business has expanded to include a number of trained associates who assist with the workload.

Andrew was born in London where he took part in his apprenticeship at from the age of 15 with Bovis Homes.  He has worked in the building industry in the UK and France for over 40 years.  He has lived in the Charente with his family since 2003 and set up his business in 2004. Andrew also spent several years in the REME where his carpentry and welding skills were used for fitting out boats.

Andrew has worked on all types of buildings including the Gridshell at Weald and Downland Museum, the restauration of Uppark House after a fire,  and various listeded properties in the UK and France.  He featured in the Nouvelle Republique after restoring a protestant chapel in Chef Boutonne.  The skills he has honed over the years have been perfect for the repair, mainteance and restoration of French homes.

 In order to meet ever increasing demand, Solutions  will have a number of Associates working with them to assist with the workload that comes from receiving in excess of 12000 emails a year.

Our Associates are multi-lingual and will have specific areas of French administration that they will specialise in.  

We also have on board a UK qualified chartered accountant, living in France for our clients that require tax returns and limited company accounts completed.

We are excited about this next phase and being better able to support our all our clients.
